1.) Anza Horse Arena
1200 N Ferrocarril Rd, Atascadero, CA.
Great trailer parking, arena, round pen, and miles of trails in either direction.
This website shows some of the trails: https://www.amwc.us/anza
2.) Fableist Winery (Used to be Pomar Junction Winery)
5036 S. El Pomar Road, Templeton, CA.
Enter through event parking gate – past the main entrance. Turn right at the end and swing left into lot for trailer parking. This is a wonderful place to ride and very close by. I take new riders here on weekend mornings because there are very few surprises for the horses. The winery staff waive a friendly hello. There are nice hills for the horses to climb and beautiful views.
3.) Riverbed Riding
6200 Linne Road, Paso Robles, CA.
The people at this address are very welcoming and have a parking area across the street that offers perfect access to the riverbed trails. We go here a lot because it is so easy.
4.) Morro Bay Beach
Straight out highway 41. Go under the freeway and the big dirt parking area is great for horse staging. You can ride right onto the beach from there.
5.) Cass Winery
7350 Linne Road, Paso Robles
They will ask you to sign a release, but you can ride around their vineyard and then tie up your horse and enjoy lunch and/or wine tasting.
6.) Montana de Oro
3550 Pecho Valley Road, Los Osos, CA
There are numerous parking lots along that road and you can ride all through the park. There is also a wonderful horse camp. This has to be one of the most beautiful places in the world to ride.
7.) Grover Beach
Truck and trailer parking just next to Finn’s Restaurant at the end of Grande in Grover Beach… then you can ride the beach for MILES!
